We're rolling out changes to PressReader

At the library, through our computers and WiFi, you have access to 7000 international newspapers and magazines from around the world. Through the PressReader app you can download those magazines and newspapers and read them at home! Beginning this week, you'll see some new things in the PressReader app.

Dark theme
Welcome to the dark side. After listening to user feedback over the past few years, we're taking our interface from light to dark. The new interface puts the focus on publications, makes for a more comfortable reading experience in low light situations, and optimizes device battery life.

Introducing 'For You'
The Home Feed readers know and love from our desktop and tablet experience has been renamed — and it's now available on smartphone for the first time ever. In 'For You' users can see a feed of top stories selected based on their location.

Search articles
Users can now search articles to find exactly what they’re looking for. Within 'For You', they can drop any topic into the search bar and see article search results from across all of our publications.

Active headlines
We've streamlined the smartphone reading experience even more. With one quick tap on a green illuminated active headline, users can jump from replica view to a mobile-friendly view.

How does it work?

Pick up magazines and newspapers at your library and read them at home! PressReader is the mobile app belonging to PressDisplay. Install the app on your device, connect to the WiFi network in one of the Centre Céramique libraries and download your newspapers. You can then read them at home or on the road. PressReader is available in the Apple appstore, Google Play and Microsoft appstore. Also for non-members!

For library members this is also free accessible from your home computer. All you need is your librarycard.
