This extension of opening hours is part of the transformation of both locations, shifting from library service point to fully fledged neighbourhood public library. All this is being made possible by the allocation of a substantial sum (€550,000) thanks to a Ministry of Education, Culture and Science programme. This programme allocating one-off specific allowances for local library facilities in 2023-2024 (SPUK Bieb) contributes to the realisation of ‘future-oriented library facilities’ in municipalities.
In addition to extending opening hours at both locations, we are also working on expanding services and activities, with a special focus on basic skills such as reading, writing and digital skills.
We hope to see you soon at our Malpertuis and Heer library service points!
