Webinar You and the Dutch work culture
Understanding the Dutch communication style can be challenging. We've all heard these cultural stereotypes: the Dutch are very direct, always express their opinions, and have flat hierarchies in their companies. You probably already know this.
In this workshop, we'll take it a couple of steps further: what stands behind these characteristics and how you can use this information to communicate more effectively, whether during job interviews or team meetings.
You will learn about:
- Effective communication with Dutch people in Dutch companies.
- How your own culture differs from Dutch work culture and how to use this knowledge for effective communication.
- Dutch work culture based on five cultural aspects that cause most conflicts and misunderstandings.
- Dutch ways of giving and receiving feedback, organizational structures, communication styles, and perceptions of time.
- Improving your communication with your colleagues and your boss.
The workshop is given by Adelina Potrymay, ze has worked in Dutch companies for the last six years and has extensively studied cultural differences. After facing many cultural challenges and feeling like a misfit at first, she eventually learned to communicate more effectively. She will share tips with you to gain a better understanding of Dutch work culture and improve your communication skills.
